ALL THE NEWS FROM THE WORLD OF AMERICAN BOATING
We’re all drawn to the water for different reasons and along different courses, yet we all arrive at the “place” that fills
us with an almost intangible feeling of
joy and peace. For all of those glorious
days – the moment you caught the boating bug, that perfect sunset, the time the
fish were really biting, the experience
that made your family bonds stronger
than ever, the most fun you’ve ever had
in your life – there is one memory, most
likely, that stands out from the rest.
As winter slowly yields to spring,
we’re asking BoatU.S. members to reflect
on their “Best Day on the Water,” then
take a few moments to compose a short
essay detailing that day or that experience and share it with us. Put us all on
the boat with you and paint the scene in
vivid brush strokes so we can share in all
the intangible joy you felt that day.
No need to be a professional writer.
Just write up the experience in your
own way, in about 100 to 200 words.
We’ll help with the rest. Send it to
Magazine@BoatUS.com and put “Best
Day” in the subject line.
The more details and any photos
you have, the better. We’ll collect some
of the best entries and share them with
the rest of your fellow members in an
upcoming issue. — THE EDITORS
