Congratulations to Michael Getto of McMurray, PA, the winner of the 2015 #BoatUSpride Photo Contest. We received lots of great photos of members and boaters
showing off their BoatU.S. pride but had to award Michael, who
brought his BoatU.S. membership decal all the way to Jökulsárlón
Glacial Lagoon in Iceland for a photo opp!
Keep snapping those photos, whether your BoatU.S. Magazine
accompanies you on an exotic trip, or you want to show off your
new BoatU.S. membership card aboard your new boat, be sure to
tag your photo on social media with #BoatUSpride!

BoatU.S. Government Affairs Protects Boaters’ Rights
The BoatU.S. Government Affairs team is active on a wide range of issues that affect boating policy. Below is a quick look at the issues that were focused upon this past year:
Reform of the Renewable Fuel Standard, the federal law that is forcing higher
levels of ethanol gasoline at the pump. BoatU.S. coordinated more than 23,000
boater comments to the EPA asking them to ensure an adequate supply of fuel
that is safe for marine engines.
The team has been busy advocating for anchoring rules in Florida that give
responsible cruising boaters a range of options when it comes to mooring and
anchoring their boats, as well as helping to keep boat federal fuel tax dollars
going to programs that benefit boaters and anglers through the Sport Fish
Restoration and Boating Trust Fund.
Keep up to date on these and other issues at www.BoatUS.com/Gov
