Gasoline engine fuel fills, p/nos. 0540, 0580,
0582 & 1319: When mounting screws
on the flange of plastic-body fuel fills are
tightened, the flange may crack. Fills were
manufactured after April 12, 2011, and in
May 2011. A date code on the side of the fill
has an 11 in the center and an arrow points
to the month of manufacture. If the flange
cracks, it may separate from the mounting
surface, making it difficult to fill the tank
without fuel spillage.

2011 Volvo 8.1L gasoline engines: Wash
water was inadvertently introduced into the
throttle body unit during the manufactur-
ing process. Entrapped water may corrode
sensors within the throttle body and cause
unexpectedly high rpm levels. All high-
rpm incidents to date occurred when the
control was locked in the neutral position.
If unexpected high rpm levels occur when
the engine is in gear, a risk of collision
and resulting personal injury and property
damage exists. Engines were manufactured
between July 2010, and May 2011.
Marine manufacturers occasionally
conduct voluntary recalls, including
the following, not overseen by the
U.S. Coast Guard.

2005-09 341NSB Sedans equipped w/ 6.2L
engines: Under certain conditions, Meridian
determined that “higher-than-desired con-
centrations of exhaust emissions may exist,”
including carbon monoxide, in the transom
seating areas. Prevalent only in boats that
can’t meet factory-specified minimum rpm
at WOT, boats that do meet performance
specs don’t seem to be affected. Meridian
will modify props and make “minor hull
modifications” to bring boats to manu-
facturing specifications. Repairs will be
done at no cost to owners.
